Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday said he will “easily” win a case involving fraud charges against his Trump University real estate courses and says all he’s trying to do is figure out why he’s being treated unfairly by a judge.
He says many participants in the courses have given them rave reviews.
“We’ll win the case easily,” Mr. Trump said on “Fox and Friends.”
“This is [the] case that should have been thrown out a long time ago by the judge,” he said.
Mr. Trump has said Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing one of the cases against Trump University, has a conflict of interest because of his Mexican heritage and the fact that Mr. Trump has pledged to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Many Republicans, including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, have said it’s a mistake for Mr. Trump to attack Judge Curiel by bringing up his ancestry.

“As far as Newt is concerned, I saw Newt; I was surprised at Newt,” Mr. Trump said. “I thought it was inappropriate what he said.”
Mr. Trump said he talks about the case because others bring it up.
“All I’m trying to do is figure out why I’m being treated so unfairly by a judge,” Mr. Trump said.
