A longtime associate of Donald Trump says a new pro-Trump super PAC has already secured about $32 million in contributions.

“The ’over my dead body’ people are not dying so quickly,” investor Tom Barrack told CNN’s Erin Burnett in an interview posted Thursday. “They’re reviving more fruitfully than you would think. … A lot of people are starting to turn the corner.”

Mr. Barrack said people have been waiting to see if Mr. Trump is going to act more presidential and pivot on the issues.

“And as time goes on, and they have more faith in the fact that he’s making good judgments, and they become more furious with the establishment, which is really the key here. They become committed,” Mr. Barrack said.

Organizers filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Thursday for the “Rebuilding America Now” group.

There are already a few other prominent pro-Trump outside groups, including the “Great America PAC” and the “Committee for American Sovereignty.”

The announcement from Mr. Barrack came on the same day that House Speaker Paul D. Ryan finally threw his support behind Mr. Trump.

But it also comes amid a report from the Wall Street Journal that quotes Mr. Trump as saying the judge handling his Trump University case has a conflict of interest because of the judge’s Mexican ancestry.

“I’m building a wall. It’s an inherent conflict of interest,” Mr. Trump said, according to the paper.

In recent days, Mr. Trump has been going after the federal judge, Gonzalo Curiel, who is from Indiana.
