Protests outside of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s event in San Jose Thursday evening turned ugly, with protesters throwing punches and harassing supporters leaving Mr. Trump’s rally.

The AP reports that a dozen or more people were hit, car windows were broken, and at least one woman was pelted with an egg.

Police eventually moved in, and at least four people were taken into custody.

At the rally itself, Mr. Trump ripped Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, who earlier in the day lambasted the billionaire businessman in a foreign policy speech.

“Anything Obama wants, she’s going forward with, because you know why? She doesn’t want to go to jail — that’s why, folks,” Mr. Trump said, referring to Mrs. Clinton’s private email server she used as secretary of state.

“Folks, honestly, she’s guilty as hell,” he said. “Hillary Clinton has to go to jail, OK? She has to go to jail.”
