Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager on Sunday called her the “most transparent secretary of state in history.”

“Hillary Clinton has actually been the most transparent secretary of state in history,” Robby Mook said on “Fox News Sunday. “She’s released all of her emails, she’s released her schedules. I think the record speaks for itself here.”

The Associated Press reported Friday that Mrs. Clinton held at least 75 secret meetings with longtime donors, political backers and corporate leaders as secretary of state, which she did not record on her official calendar.

For instance, Mrs. Clinton’s calendar did not include the names of a dozen Wall Street and business executives with whom she met during a private breakfast in 2009, the report said. Many of those corporate leaders were also major donors to the Clinton Foundation.

While internal memos to Mrs. Clinton included the names of the participants — including Blackstone Group Chairman Steve Schwarzman, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, and then-New York Bank of Mellon CEO Robert Kelly — the official calendar did not.

Mr. Mook also called on presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to release his tax records.

“We have to assume he’s hiding something,” he said.
