A progressive group rolled out Spanish-language ads in swing states warning that Donald Trump has shown during the first 365 days of his presidential campaign that if elected he would steer the nation into a “dark place where intolerance, racism, and hate rule.”

People For the American Way released the 30-second ad as part of a “Donald Trump’s Year of Hate” campaign.

The spot features footage of Mr. Trump referring to some immigrants as rapists and drug dealers during his campaign launch a year ago, his call for mass deportations of illegal immigrants, and a news headline about a Trump inspired hate crime.

“Where does Trump intend to take our country?” the narrator says in Spanish. “Down, down, down to a dark place where intolerance, racism, and hate rule.”

The narrator later adds, “A person who is incapable of respecting others, is unfit to be President,” the narrator says in Spanish. “We must stop hate. And stop Trump,” the ad says.

PFAW announced the spot is running Thursday on television in Virginia and Nevada, and on digital platforms in Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
