The National Rifle Association announced Thursday that award-winning radio host Dana Loesch will join its ranks as a Special Adviser on Women’s Policy.
“Dana is a talented and influential leader and communicator,” NRA Executive Vice President and CEO Wayne LaPierre said in a statement. “In her role as an NRA Commentator, as well as leading the fight for freedom for more than a decade, she has become a leading voice for Second Amendment freedom and a tremendous advocate for the rights of American women. Expanding her role as an advisor [sic] on women’s issues, and particularly as a national spokesperson for the 5 million men and women of the NRA, strengthens our organization and our voice.”
Mrs. Loesch hosts “The Dana Show” from Dallas, Texas, and “Dana” on The Blaze television network. She also authored multiple books, including “Hands Off My Gun: Defeating the Plot to Disarm America,” and the upcoming “Flyover Nation: You Can’t Run a Country You’ve Never Been To.” The latter will be released June 21.
“I applaud Wayne LaPierre for his vision to bring greater advocacy to bear for the Second Amendment freedom of all Americans, especially women,” Mrs. Loesch said in a statement. “I look forward to facing the national news media and defending our freedom with great enthusiasm.”
The NRA was established in 1871 and has more than 5 million members. It bills itself as “the nation’s leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners.”
