The Islamic State terrorist who killed two French police officers left behind a martyr’s video in which he says journalists are next.
“Kill them all. Kill them,” he said.
The Islamic State’s news agency Amaq released the video Tuesday a day after Larossi Abballa, a 25-year-old French citizen, stabbed a plainclothes officer and his partner to death in a Paris suburb.
Such videos can provide an inside look at the Islamic State’s gruesome planning.
Abballa said he was acting at the urging of Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad Al-Adnani, who last month called on Muslims to kill in honor of the holy month of Ramadan, which began June 5.
Abballa pledged allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi, as did Omar Mateen, the killer of 49 innocents early Sunday in a Florida gay nightclub.
“I call upon you to prioritize [the killing of] police officers, praise the almighty God, I have just killed a police officer and I have just killed his wife,” Abballa said, according to a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). “I call upon you to kill policemen, prison guards, journalists, and specifically, yes yes yes yes, listen to me well and apply this: Attack the journalists.”
He then mentions four journalists by name: “I will not mention them all. Allah has not given me all the names. By Allah, kill them all. Kill them. Kill them.”
Abballa berated the French government for making it more difficult to leave France and join the Islamic State terror army in Syria and other locations. He promised that the ongoing Euro 2016 soccer championship will be a bloodbath.
“I am also addressing now the infidel French authorities; this is the consequence of your work,” he said. “You have closed for us the doors of Hijra [immigration to Muslim land, here, to Islamic State-controlled areas], you have closed the doors of the caliphate, so we have opened the door of jihad on your land. Do you think we will stay here waiting? Well, you are wrong; we have other surprises reserved for you, for the Euro 2016. I will not say anymore. The Euro will be a cemetery.”
