Westboro Baptist Church has blasted its thoughts on the horrific bloodbath that occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning at the Pulse club in Orlando, Florida: “God hates f**s. God sent the shooter. God hates murderer Omar Mateen. Omar Mateen and slain f**s are in hell. REPENT!”

Inquisitr.com, one of several websites that reposted the tweet, pointed out that the church’s comments followed the Christian group’s protest last week at funeral services of Muhammad Ali in Louisville, Kentucky.

“At that Westboro Baptist Church protest, fans and supporters filled the streets outside of Muhammad Ali’s funeral, effectively drowning out the hate with love,” Inquisitr said.

Members of Westboro Baptist Church have long drawn attention to itself for protesting and picketing at funerals and at gravesites, including those held for men and women in the U.S. military, and those for celebrities.

It is not yet known whether Westboro Baptist Church members will head to Orlando, where dozens of people at the gay bar Pulse were gunned down and injured in the largest mass shooting in American history.

Westboro Baptist Church is based in Kansas.
