Darryl Glenn, who recently won the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate in Colorado with 37 percent of the vote, has already mounted an aggressive campaign, describing himself as a “black conservative Republican” and “the Democratic Party’s absolutely worst nightmare.”

The military veteran, who won his race with an all-volunteer staff and a $50,000 campaign budget, is now set to oppose Democratic incumbent Michael F. Bennet.

Mr. Glenn has drawn the attention of former U.N. ambassador John Bolton, who has long supported “national security candidates” who believe in a robust military, strategic defense and aggressive foreign policy. Mr. Bolton has endorsed the candidate and contributed $10,000 to the Glenn campaign through the John Bolton PAC.

Darryl Glenn is a retired Air Force officer and dedicated public servant who we need in the U.S. Senate,” said Mr. Bolton. “As a former lieutenant colonel, he takes seriously the threats America faces abroad and is willing to meet them with determination and strength. He will serve Colorado and America well as a senator, which is why I endorse his candidacy.”

Mr. Glenn is the 50th Republican candidate that Mr. Bolton his endorsed this year.

Mr. Glenn appears ready, vowing, “I will fight to strengthen America’s influence abroad while securing our interests at home.”
