Activists from the Democratic National Committee welcomed the presumptive GOP presidential nominee to Capitol Hill Thursday with chants of “Dump Donald Trump!” and by labeling him a “fraud” and a “sexist.”

Donald Trump’s meeting with rank-and-file Republicans from Congress comes about a week before the Republican National Convention where the New York billionaire is facing last-ditch efforts from within the party to derail his candidacy — underscoring the struggles he has had unifying the party.

The DNC activists touted signs that warned that Mr. Trump’s economic plans would cost 3.5 million jobs, and read the “GOP + Trump Dangerous Divisive Deceitful.”

They also waved signs displaying the mug shots of vulnerable Republicans up for re-election in the Senate with “Make America Great Again” hats superimposed atop their heads.

The signs read “#PARTYOFTRUMP” and targeted, among others, Sens. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

“T-R-U-M-P, no more time for bigotry,” the group bellowed over and over. “Racist, sexist, anti-gay, Donald Trump go away,” they chanted.
