PHILADELPHIA — GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump is pledging to put an additional million dollars into his campaign if supporters help him reach his end-of-month fundraising goal.
“I will once again write a $1 MILLION check to our campaign if we hit our million-dollar end-of-month goal by the FEC deadline,” Mr. Trump wrote in a fundraising plea on Thursday.
“Like you, I have made so many sacrifices for this campaign. And I haven’t regretted any of it. Not even for a second!” he wrote.
“With your help, I am confident that we will hit this million-dollar goal and keep going on the path to victory,” Mr. Trump wrote. “Nothing would make me happier than to write another million-dollar matching check.”
Mr. Trump’s campaign filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission last week saying he has forgiven the loans he personally made to his campaign. The real estate mogul has put more than $50 million into the campaign.
Mr. Trump’s campaign said last week that it broke a single-day record by raising $3.5 million online.
The campaign also recently reported a collective June fundraising haul of about $51 million between his campaign, associated committees and efforts in conjunction with the Republican National Committee.
