Donald Trump [sort of] got himself a wall, and a Los Angeles street artist paid for it.
The Huffington Post reported on Wednesday that an artist calling himself Plastic Jesus surrounded the GOP presidential nominee’s square on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a miniature wall, complete with barb wire.
“The artist said he installed the project Tuesday afternoon, just hours before the wall-loving real estate mogul officially clinched the Republican presidential nomination,” according to The Huffington Post.
While Plastic Jesus’s satirical wall is understated and arguably “low energy” by Mr. Trump’s bombastic standards, the street artist explained to The Huffington Post, “I don’t try to attack people on a personal level. I try to attack their policy or their attitude. Otherwise it’s kind of vindictive.
“Personally, I’ve got nothing against Donald Trump,” The Huffington Post quoted the artist as saying. “I have everything against his policies and the culture he’s trying to create in America.”
Described glowingly at the time by a Hollywood Walk of Fame press statement as “the very definition of the American success story,” Mr. Trump’s star was added to the world-famous walk on January 16, 2007.
