Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump says he’ll be announcing his choice for a running mate on Friday in New York City.

“I will be making the announcement of my Vice Presidential pick on Friday at 11am in Manhattan. Details to follow,” Mr. Trump tweeted Wednesday evening.

During an appearance on Fox News Wednesday, Mr. Trump said that in his mind, he’s “probably” thinking about two candidates at this point.

He called Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who he met with Wednesday morning, a “high-quality person” and a “wonderful guy.”

Mr. Trump also met with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Wednesday, and he said New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is someone he’s liked for a long time.

“I’m at three, potentially four, but in my own mind I probably am thinking about two,” Mr. Trump said.

“I want to pick somebody who’s solid, who’s smart. I’m not looking for an attack dog,” he said.
