Businessman Donald Trump, who casts himself as a winner who will “make America great again,” predicted victory next Sunday for future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

Mr. Trump is trying to edge out Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and a host of other Republican rivals to win Iowa’s caucuses on Monday.

But he’s also looking forward to Super Bowl 50, at which Mr. Manning will lead the Denver Broncos against quarterback Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.

The casino and real estate mogul said the betting lines might favor Carolina, but he’s got to go with Mr. Manning.

Mr. Trump said he knows the quarterback, who has one ring from three prior Super Bowl appearances with the Indianapolis Colts and his current team.

“I’ll stick with Peyton because he’s a very good guy,” Mr. Trump said.
