Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has rented space at an Iowa movie theater and is offering free tickets to the Friday night screening of the Benghazi movie “13 Hours.”
Iowans can view Michael Bay’s “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” for free at 6 p.m. Friday at the Carmike Cobblestone 9 Theatre in Urbandale at 86th Street and Hickman Road, The Des Moines Register reported.
“Mr. Trump would like all Americans to know the truth about what happened at Benghazi,” the billionaire’s Iowa co-chair Tana Goertz said Thursday. “The theater is paid for. The tickets are paid for. You just have to RSVP.”
The movie depicts the terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, 2012. The film has put renewed focus on then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s role in the tragedy, though it reportedly makes no explicit mention of the Democratic presidential front-runner.
