GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump said Tuesday that former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright “should be ashamed of herself” for a “disgusting” comment she made recently at a Hillary Clinton event about women who don’t help one another.

“I thought that was so disgusting,” Mr. Trump said on “Fox and Friends.” “I thought that was one of the most disgusting statements, the way she said that. She should be ashamed of herself and she should apologize. Can you imagine if I said that?”

At a rally for Mrs. Clinton Saturday, Ms. Albright repeated a phrase she has used many times: “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.”

On Tuesday, Mr. Trump also defended repeating a supporter who referred to Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas as a “p***y” at a rally Monday evening.

“We were having a lot of fun,” Mr. Trump said, saying it was “like a re-tweet. So I would never say a word like that.”

“The audience went crazy - standing ovation,” he said. “5,000 people went nuts. They loved it. We’re having fun. That’s what I mean about being politically correct. Every once in a while, you can have a little fun, don’t you think?”

“You’re not allowed to say, and I never expect to hear that from you again,” Mr. Trump had said at the eventMonday. “She said - I never expect to hear that from you again - she said he’s a p***y. That’s terrible.”
