Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump leads in New Hampshire just days away from Tuesday’s primary, with Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida moving into second place, according to a pair of polls conducted after the Iowa caucuses.
An NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Friday showed Mr. Trump in the lead at 30 percent, with Mr. Rubio at 17 percent, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 15 percent, Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 10 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 9 percent and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 4 percent.
Mr. Cruz won Iowa, with Mr. Trump taking second and Mr. Rubio taking third.
Mr. Bush finished in sixth, Mr. Kasich was eighth, and Mr. Christie was 10th; those three candidates are banking on a strong showing in New Hampshire to push their campaigns forward.
An NBC/WSJ/Marist poll released last week had Mr. Trump at 31 percent, Mr. Cruz at 12 percent, Mr. Rubio and Mr. Kasich at 11 percent apiece, Mr. Bush at 8 percent and Mr. Christie at 7 percent.
A CNN/WMUR poll released Thursday had Mr. Trump in the lead at 29 percent, followed by Mr. Rubio at 18 percent, Mr. Cruz at 13 percent, Mr. Kasich at 12 percent, Mr. Bush at 10 percent, and Mr. Christie and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina at 4 percent apiece.
A CNN/WMUR survey conducted in late January, before Iowa, had Mr. Trump in the lead at 30 percent, followed by Mr. Cruz at 12 percent, Mr. Rubio at 11 percent, Mr. Kasich at 9 percent, Mr. Christie at 8 percent, Mr. Bush at 6 percent and Mrs. Fiorina at 4 percent.
