HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf says he has a treatable form of prostate cancer.

The 67-year-old Wolf said Wednesday in a statement that the cancer was detected early by his doctors and he has a planned treatment schedule that will last several months.

He says it’ll present no impairment to his ability to perform his duties as governor. He says the planned treatments will begin in the coming weeks and he will take a brief time to spend with his family before it starts.

The Democrat took office in January 2015.
