Businessman Donald Trump, irritated by a protester at rally in Nevada, hearkened back to the “old days” when that sort of behavior would be rewarded with a punch right in the kisser and being sent out of the event on a stretcher.

Mr. Trump held a rally Monday in the Las Vegas and took issue with a protester in the audience who he claimed was “throwing punches” and being “nasty as hell” before being ushered out of the event “smiling” and dishing out high fives.

“I love the old days. You know what they used to do to guys like when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks. It’s true.”

Mr. Trump added, “I’d like to punch him in the face, I’ll tell yah.”

Mr. Trump has won back-to-back victories in New Hampshire and South Carolina and is well-positioned for another strong showing in Nevada’s caucuses on Tuesday.
