North Korea may have hacked the command set up by the South Korean military to protect the U.S. ally from cyber attack. This incident comes after North Korea was blamed for attacks in the U.S., including Sony and U.S. government systems and technology files.

“A Ministry of National Defense official told Yonhap News that hackers got into the command’s computers and stole some military documents, including confidential information. The culprit? As you might have guessed, the country suspects its neighbor to the north,” reports Engadget.

South Korean lawmaker Kim Jin-pyo revealed recently that the North had inserted malware into the command’s intranet systems and the South Korean military does not know how much data was stolen. The break in security seems to be much worse than was initially feared or reported.
