Former porn star Jenna Jameson became an Orthodox Jew less than a month ago and says she’s already experienced anti-Semitism firsthand from an “evil” and “loathsome monster” — former Ku Klux Klan leader and recent U.S. Senate candidate, David Duke.
Once the biggest name in adult film, Miss Jameson became engaged to an Israeli diamond dealer in 2015 and finished converting last month to Orthodox Judaism. She’s embraced her new religion whole heartedly on social media in the weeks since, and was profiled in the Times of Israel on Monday after she gushed over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a recent series of tweets.
“It’s so apparent Trump and [Netanyahu] are going to be great friends…. I have to admit I have a massive crush on @netanyahu,” Miss Jameson wrote to her nearly 700,000 Twitter followers.
Within hours of the Times of Israel reporting on her “massive crush,” however, the Jerusalem-based outlet had already published a follow-up after Miss Jameson landed in the crosshairs of a man described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as “the most recognizable figure of the American radical right.”
“Jews dominate porn — why are ’Christians’ ok with that?” tweeted Mr. Duke, a former KKK Imperial Wizard who successfully campaigned for a Louisiana House seat in 1988. More recently, Mr. Duke placed seventh last month while vying for one of Louisiana’s seats in the U.S. Senate, in spite of still garnering more than 58,000 votes.
“I would prefer @DrDavidDuke never utter my name…,” Miss Jameson tweeted Monday.
On the contrary, Mr. Duke how since mentioned Miss Jameson on his internet radio show in addition to devoting two episodes this week to what he called the “Jewish domination of the porn industry and that industry’s role in undermining traditional European Christian morality.”
“I guess it is my first welcome to being Jewish and hated for it,” Miss Jameson told Times of Israel in response.
“Being targeted was something I knew would come but it still shocked me to be attacked by such an outspoken loathsome monster like David Duke,” she added. “My support of Israel is undying … if it means being targeted by evil anti-Semites, so be it.”
Miss Jameson, 42, retired from the adult film industry in 2008. In between performing in dozens of films, she founded a multimedia company in 2000, ClubJenna, which was generating upwards of $30 million in annual revenue by 2005. She and her partner Lior Bitton are expecting their first child together in April.
Prior to launching his unsuccessful bid for U.S. Senate, Mr. Duke made headlines earlier this year after his endorsement of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign was denounced by the candidate, albeit not immediately.
