ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The FBI is offering $5,000 for information on an arson fire three years ago at a church in North Pole.

The agency is offering the reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person who burned the Plack Road Baptist Church.

A church pastor on the afternoon of Dec. 4, 2013, saw a church door open, went to investigate and found damage estimated at $200,000.

State investigators determined the fire was set intentionally.

The FBI says destroying property may be a federal crime if the property is targeted for a religious reason.

Alaska FBI special agent in charge Marlin Ritzman says someone knows who started the fire and the agency hopes the reward will give an extra incentive to do the right thing and call authorities.
