SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP) - Jaylen Adams scored 29 points with 5 of 9 3-pointers and made eight assists and four steals to help St. Bonaventure hold off Big 4 rival Buffalo 90-84 on Saturday.

Adams hit his fifth 3 and St. Bonaventure led 83-72, but Buffalo hit four straight 3s and trailed 86-84 with 25 seconds left. Idris Taqqee made four free throws down the stretch and the Bulls missed two 3-pointers in the final seven seconds.

Adams scored 18 points in the first half and the Bonnies led 48-35 at halftime.

Taqqee scored 16 points for the Bonnies (5-2), who haven’t lost at home to Buffalo since the 1915-16 season. Denzel Gregg scored 14 points, David Andoh added 12 and Josh Ayeni 10.

Nick Perkins scored a career-high 24 points for Buffalo (4-4), which made 12 of 27 3-pointers (44.4 percent). Blake Hamilton added 20 and Willie Conner 13.
