VISTA, Calif. (AP) - A former Uber and Lyft driver has been sentenced in San Diego County for exposing himself to a passenger and groping another.

Jeremy Vague of San Marcos was given a year in jail on Thursday. He earlier pleaded guilty to felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and indecent exposure.

The San Diego Union-Tribune says (https://bit.ly/2iKyLr9 ) Vague’s defense told the court the father of two is ashamed and remorseful for his actions.

Authorities say that in September, Vague picked up an 18-year-old woman from Palomar College in San Marcos but instead of driving her home, he took her to a side street and exposed himself. He was arrested that evening.

A 24-year-old woman later came forward to say that Vague had groped her during another September ride.
