President-elect Donald Trump took aim at President Obama’s political prowess Tuesday, pointing out that Mr. Obama couldn’t sway voters in key battleground states during the presidential campaign.

“President Obama campaigned hard (and personally) in the very important swing states, and lost. The voters wanted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Mr. Trump said on Twitter.

The president said in an interview broadcast on Monday that he believes he would have won a third term against Mr. Trump if he had run again. The Constitution forbids presidents from serving more than two terms.

But Mr. Trump pointed out that Mr. Obama campaigned for Hillary Clinton in swing states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania, where Mr. Trump won.
