DANVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say two people died over the weekend in a single-car wreck in Yell County.
State police say the wreck happened Saturday on South Liberty Road in Yell County. According to a preliminary report, 33-year-old Gina Smith of Little Rock and 39-year-old Walter Sharp of North Little Rock died when their vehicle left the roadway, struck a culvert gate and then overturned.
State police say the roads were wet and the weather was cloudy at the time of the wreck. The deaths are Arkansas’ 533rd and 534th traffic fatalities of the year.
