FULTON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 62-year-old central New York man has died after his vehicle crashed into a house and caught fire.

The Fulton Police Department in Oswego County says Michael Harris of Hannibal was driving on a street in the city around 9:15 a.m. Thursday when his van slammed into a home.

When emergency crews arrived, flames were coming from the front of the vehicle as well as from the house. Police removed Harris from the burning vehicle. He was taken to Oswego Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Harris was the only person in the van. Two people inside the house made it out safely while firefighters doused the blaze.

Authorities believe Harris suffered a medical problem shortly before crashing. The cause of the crash and his death remain under investigation.
