CENTREVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Robert Bentley has named a replacement for an Alabama sheriff who shot himself to death in November.
Jody Wade was sworn in as Bibb County sheriff during a ceremony on Wednesday.
Wade had worked as an officer under Sheriff Keith Hannah, who was found dead of a gunshot wound in his office in Centreville on Nov. 16. Authorities later ruled Hannah’s death a suicide.
Wade says he is still thinking of Hannah’s relatives and what they are going through.
