DOVER, Del. (AP) - Dover police say a man wanted for stealing personal information of Sears and Best Buy shoppers to make fraudulent credit cards has turned himself in.
Police say 22-year-old Jonathan Williams surrendered Thursday morning.
Police have also charged two people they say worked alongside Williams to produce the fraudulent credit cards. Police say they’re not sure how many people had their information stolen. People who’ve shopped at the Sears and Best Buy in the city are being asked to check their credit card statements.
Police said previously that Williams worked at both stores. Police now say Williams previously worked at Best Buy but hasn’t been employed there for over a year. It was not immediately clear if Williams had an attorney.
