EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Jaylon Brown made 11 of 16 from the floor for a career-high 33 points to lead Evansville to its seventh straight victory, a 68-55 win over Division III Mount St. Joseph on Thursday night.

Brown also drilled 4 of 7 from distance and made 7 of 8 free throws as he was within one of scoring half of Evansville’s points. Ryan Taylor added 13 points and Duane Gibson chipped in 12 and dished out five assists for Evansville (9-4).

The Purple Aces scored 26 points in the paint while holding the Lions to 16 and picked up 12 points off 13 Mount St. Joseph turnovers.

Evansville led 37-29 at the break and pushed that to 54-39 midway of the second period.

Andrew Finley led the Lions with 17 points. Bob Murdock added 14 and Adam Goetz chipped in 10.
