The Walt Disney Company is teaming up with social media powerhouse Snapchat to produce TV shows in 2017.

Roughly 150 million daily Snapchat users will soon be viewing new content created by the U.S. television arm of Disney. The move comes just two days after Disney Studios entered the record books as the first to top $7 billion in global ticket sales.

The deal with Snapchat was announced in a statement by Disney-ABC Television executive John Frelinghuysen.

“Earlier this year, we worked closely with Snap on a very successful The Oscars Live Story and we look forward to building on that relationship and providing Snapchat’s mobile-centric users with a unique, immersive experience around our shows and brands,” Mr. Frelinghuysen said, Reuters reported.

Snapchat, which has roughly 235 million monthly users, is preparing an IPO for the first quarter of 2017.  The offering could value the company at $25 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 6.
