GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - Montana residents will be able to get to Chicago even easier next summer as United Airlines is expanding its direct service between Great Falls and the Windy City.

The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://gftrib.com/2hTjftJ ) that Great Falls Airport Director John Faulkner announced Tuesday that between June and September United Airlines will operate three flights a week to and from Chicago. Tickets went on sale this week for the summer 2017 flights.

United Airlines launched Chicago-to-Great Falls service this year, offering two flights a week between June and mid-August.

In addition to extra flights to Chicago, Faulkner also announced Alaska Airlines will begin offering a seventh morning flight a week to Seattle beginning March 15.
