PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Portland’s Planning Board has approved a master plan to redevelop 10 acres of land on the city’s eastern waterfront.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2hqsd0j ) the board on Tuesday decided that the project conforms with the city’s comprehensive plan and zoning rules.

Developer CPB2 is proposing a $10 million project that aims to transform the former Portland Co. complex on the waterfront. The project would roughly double the size of the existing marina at the site and add amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms and parking.

CPB2 will have to seek site plan approval for each phase of the project which is expected to be built over the next decade. James Brady, a principal with CPB2, says he expects it will take two to three phases to complete.
