CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming’s unemployment rate fell in November to 4.9 percent.
The state Department of Workforce Services says the rate is down significantly from October’s 5.1 percent. However, it is still higher than the national rate of 4.6 percent and higher than it was a year ago, when it was at 4.3 percent.
From October to November, Wyoming’s jobless rates decreased slightly in 17 counties, increased in five counties and was unchanged in one county.
The largest decrease in unemployment occurred in Campbell County, which fell from 6.3 percent to 5.9 percent.
Albany and Niobrara counties shared the state’s lowest jobless rate at 2.6 percent, followed by Goshen County at 2.7 percent. The highest rates were in Natrona at 6.0 percent, Campbell at 5.9 percent and Fremont at 5.8 percent.
