BOSTON (AP) - Attorney General Maura Healey - who’s vowed to take President-elect Donald Trump to court if need be - is speaking to Massachusetts newspaper publishers.
Healey will deliver the keynote address to Friday’s annual conference of the Massachusetts Newspaper Publishers Association in Boston.
Healey, a Democrat, vowed earlier this week to sue Trump if he does anything in the White House that adversely affects Massachusetts.
In a fundraising email Tuesday, she said state attorneys general are the first line of defense whenever the federal government overreaches or attempts to take illegal action.
Healey said she won’t hesitate to take Trump to court if he delivers on what she described as unconstitutional campaign promises.
She faces re-election in 2018.
