LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming and New Mexico State have agreed to a future football home-and-home series to be played in 2018 and 2024.

The Cowboys will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico, on Aug. 25, 2018, to play the Aggies. New Mexico State will then travel to Laramie for a game on Sept. 21, 2024.

The Cowboys and Aggies have played only one other time in the two schools’ histories. That previous meeting was played in Laramie on Sept. 19, 1953, with the Cowboys winning 47-0.

New Mexico State is now a member of the Sun Belt Conference. It will begin play as an FBS independent in 2018.
