BALTIMORE (AP) - Police say a suspected shoplifter shot at mall employees in Baltimore, but no one was injured in the incident.

Baltimore Police Department says employees at Mondawmin Mall were trying to detain a suspected shoplifter inside a clothing store when the man ran out of the store. Police say the man reached the exterior vestibule of the mall, pulled out a handgun and fired at least one shot in the direction of the store employees, who were chasing him.

Police say no one was injured.

Police say an officer who happened to be at another store chased the suspect and took him into custody. Police the officer recovered a gun from the suspect.

Police have not identified the suspect, who they say is a 42-year-old man from Baltimore.
