ERIE, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to six to 17 years in prison after admitting she intentionally started a fire at an apartment house while on probation for another fire five years ago.

The Erie Times-News reports (https://bit.ly/2hW66Pn ) 40-year-old Lola Ruf, of Erie, was sentenced on Thursday. Ruf pleaded guilty to reckless burning in the June fire in Erie.

Police say Ruf intentionally started a fire in the hallway of an apartment house. Police said both units were occupied, but no one was hurt.

Ruf’s lawyer says his client has a history of mental health problems. He says Ruf reported that voices told her to set the fire.

Ruf was previously sentenced to one to two years in prison after pleading guilty but mentally ill in a 2011 arson fire.
