Big-time bundlers for Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign are still shell-shocked and searching for answers more than a month after Election Day.

President-elect Donald Trump’s 306 Electoral College votes to Mrs. Clinton’s 232 has deep-pocketed donors demanding hard data on the former secretary of state’s Nov. 8 performance. Politico interviewed multiple insiders prior to a campaign autopsy Thursday in New York’s Plaza Hotel, and the message was clear: Democrat fundraisers who raised over $1 billion want concrete answers before they expend more resources.

“A lot of people are saying, ’I’m not putting another f-g dime in until someone tells me what just happened,” one donor from the Midwest told Politico.

“Everybody’s still frankly stunned, and in the back of their minds they think they’re going to wake up tomorrow morning and all of this never happened, including me,” added donor Alan Patricof.

Ken Martin, a bundler and chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, told the website that his peers, who are in “shock and disbelief,” hope someone will provide “some introspection and analysis about what really happened.”

Donors who did not find the answers they were looking for Thursday night will have another opportunity prior to Mr. Trump’s inauguration. Clinton ally David Brock of the super PAC American Bridge will soon host a strategy session with hundreds of Democrat insiders in Aventura, Florida.

Some of the sessions, which will be held Thursday through Saturday prior to Inauguration Day, include: “Learning from 2016: Strategy, Policy, and Building a lasting winning Coalition”; “The New Face of the Right,” and “Holding Trump Accountable,” a source told Politico.
