Minnesota Vikings Teddy Bridgewater injured his left leg at practice seriously enough to have an ambulance called to the facility, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.
According to the Star-Tribune, several Viking teammates were “visibly and audibly distraught” as the huddled around the team’s offensive signal-caller just 25 minutes into the practice.
The newspaper’s report said the injury “appeared to be a non-contact” one.
Vikings staffers were sufficiently rattled by the injury to take media members off the field and end practice for the day.
An ambulance arrived shortly thereafter, the Star-Tribune reported.
