Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump says the Clintons are the “real predators,” with his campaign releasing a web video Friday highlighting Hillary Clinton’s past comments about young “super predators” and praise for her husband’s tough-on-crime policies.

“The Clinton’s are the real predators …,” Mr. Trump tweeted Friday, along with a link to a video showing Sen. Bernard Sanders say Mrs. Clinton’s “super predators” line was a “racist term.”

“They are often the kinds of kids that are called super predators — no conscience, no empathy,” Mrs. Clinton says in a clip from 1996. “We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel.”

The video then plays a clip of Mr. Sanders, Mrs. Clinton’s top rival in the Democratic presidential primary contest, saying in a debate: “It was a racist term, and everybody knew it was a racist term.”

The video also plays an old clip of Mrs. Clinton calling a 1994 crime bill that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, helped pass “very well-thought out,” “smart” and “tough.”

She is now running away from Mr. Clinton’s tough-on-crimes policies from the 1990s.

Mr. Trump has been hitting back hard after Mrs. Clinton tried to tie him to the ethno-nationalist “alt-right” movement in a blistering speech in Nevada on Thursday.
