Hillary Clinton: We’ve already released 30,000-plus emails, ‘so what’s a few more?’

In an appearance on late night television, Hillary Clinton made light of the email scandal that’s been a drag on her presidential campaign, saying her emails are “so boring” and appearing unconcerned that more are going to be released.

“My emails are so boring. I mean, I’m embarrassed about that - they’re so boring,” Mrs. Clinton said in an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that was taped Monday. “So we’ve already released, I don’t know, 30,000-plus - so what’s a few more?”

“He makes up stuff to use against me,” Mrs. Clinton said of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. “If he would stick with reality, I wouldn’t have a worry in the world.”

Mrs. Clinton turned over about 30,000 of her private emails to the State Department nearly two years after leaving her post as secretary of state, deleting about 30,000 others she and her lawyers deemed to be personal in nature.

The Obama administration acknowledged Monday the FBI found at least 14,900 more email messages that Mrs. Clinton never turned over to the government.

Last month, FBI Director James B. Comey declined to recommend criminal charges be brought against Mrs. Clinton for mishandling classified information through her private email system and server, though he said she and her aides were “extremely careless” with the set-up.

Mr. Comey said Mrs. Clinton might not have been sophisticated enough to understand classification markings on several of the emails. She initially said there was no classified material, then later said there was nothing marked classified at the time it was sent or received.
