Syndicated conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh announced Tuesday that he has renewed his contract with distributor iHeartMedia.

The company is not disclosing specifics, but Mr. Limbaugh’s initial eight-year deal with iHeartMedia in 2008 was worth about $400 million, CNN reported Tuesday.

The news comes one day after Mr. Limbaugh celebrated 28 years as a nationally-syndicated radio host.

“After 28 fulfilling years, I seriously considered moving on to something else, but Rich and Bob were very persuasive,” Mr. Limbaugh said in a statement, referring to iHeartMedia’s president and chairman/CEO, respectively. “I’m thrilled to be continuing. And I really want to be on the air if the Russians find Hillary’s emails.”

In addition to success on the airwaves, Mr. Limbaugh is a best-selling author and, with wife Kathryn, the co-creator of Two If By Tea, a line of iced tea beverages that the company website describes as “a modern twist” on the memorable “One if by land, and two if by sea,” line from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s 1860 poem “Paul Revere’s Ride.”
