GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump says he’ll take the support of former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight over that of former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina “every single time.”

“As far as Carly is concerned, look — she’s a nice woman, but she failed very miserably when she ran,” Mr. Trump said in an interview for “Fox and Friends.” “She went to practically nothing, and she left the race.”

“So, I don’t know why Carly would help,” he said. “Look, if I had my choice between Carly and the coach, [I’d] take the coach every single time.”

Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas announced on Wednesday that Mrs. Fiorina, a former 2016 GOP presidential candidate, will be Mr. Cruz’s running mate if he wins the party’s nomination.

Mr. Knight, meanwhile, has made multiple appearances with Mr. Trump in the Hoosier State this week ahead of Tuesday’s primary.
