Hillary Clinton pulled out a narrow win in the Connecticut primary on Tuesday, defeating Sen. Bernard Sanders and claiming her fourth victory of the day.
Networks called the race at 10:30 p.m. With about 72 percent of the vote in, Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Sanders 50 percent to 49 percent. Mrs. Clinton garnered about 118,000 votes, compared to about 116,000 for the Vermont senator.
Mrs. Clinton also racked up wins in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware on Tuesday. Mr. Sanders’ only win came in Rhode Island.
As a result of her big night, Mrs. Clinton will expand her delegate lead over Mr. Sanders and will tighten her grip on the Democratic nomination.
