GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said he had a “very good conversation” on Wednesday with Fox News host Megyn Kelly, with whom he has had a long-simmering feud since the first Republican debate in August.
“Well, Megyn called and she wanted to come up, and she came up to Trump Tower and we talked about things, and I think we had a very good conversation,” Mr. Trump said in an interview that aired Thursday on “Fox and Friends.”
“Time will tell — we’ll see what happens. But we had a nice conversation,” he said.
Ms. Kelly said on her Fox News program Wednesday evening that the meeting was at her request “and Mr. Trump was gracious enough to agree to it.”
“We met for about an hour just the two of us, and had a chance to clear the air,” she said. “Mr. Trump and I discussed the possibility of an interview, and I hope we will have news to announce on that soon.”
Mr. Trump had objected to Ms. Kelly’s line of questioning at the first GOP debate, when she ran through a litany of insulting comments about women attributed to Mr. Trump, such as “fat pigs,” “dogs,” “slobs” and “disgusting animals.”

Mr. Trump has gone after Ms. Kelly on numerous occasions since then.
“I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!” he tweeted in January.
Fox News responded in one statement last month: “Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land.”
