The Washington Redskins signed former Indianapolis Colts cornerback Greg Toler.
Toler, 31, adds veteran experience and depth to the secondary. Drafted in the fourth round in 2009, Toler spent his first four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals before signing with the Colts.
In 72 career games, Toler has 259 tackles, 45 pass deflections and eight interceptions — three of which he returned for touchdowns. Toler, who missed the 2011 season because of a torn ACL, played in 10 games last season. He missed the first four games of the year because of a neck injury sustained in the preseason, and missed games in Weeks 14 and 15.
The signing reunites Toler with Greg Manusky, the former Colts defensive coordinator who was hired as the Redskins’ outside linebackers coach earlier this offseason.
A native of Washington, Toler attended Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.
