A super PAC supporting Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas for president announced Friday it’s launching a national million-dollar ad campaign on a mix of faith-based radio stations and conservative talk programs.

The ads will start on Sept. 28, and the total campaign through the end of the year is $1 million, according to the group, Keep the Promise I.

The 60-second spot provides biographical and background information on Mr. Cruz and highlights his fights against Obamacare and the Iran nuclear deal, also mentioning that he stood up to Democrats “and the establishment of his own party.”

“The biggest divide we have in this country is between career politicians in Washington and the American people,” Mr. Cruz says in the spot.

“Lots of candidates call themselves conservatives. There’s only one we can trust to be one: Ted Cruz,” a narrator says.

The ads will play on networks like the Contemporary Christian Music Network and shows like Rush Limbaugh’s and Sean Hannity’s.

The announcement comes as Mr. Cruz looks to capture another straw poll victory at this weekend’s Values Voter Summit, an annual gathering of social conservatives hosted by the Family Research Council.

The summit in Washington, D.C., includes scheduled speeches from Mr. Cruz and a host of other 2016 GOP contenders.
