PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A bird strike forced a jetliner to make an emergency landing at Philadelphia International Airport, but no one was injured.

American Airlines Flight 1889 had left Charlotte, North Carolina, for Hartford, Connecticut, when the bird hit the windshield and caused a crack.

The aircraft landed safely in Philadelphia around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The 114 passengers and five crew members aboard transferred to another plane to continue the flight, WCAU-TV reported.
