ASHBURN — The Washington Redskins are already short-handed at cornerback this weekend with Chris Culliver serving a one-game suspension and the availability of Justin Rogers is also in question.

Rogers did not practice on Wednesday, as he’s been dealing with plantar fasciitis in one of his feet. On Monday, coach Jay Gruden said he was going to be questionable for the week.

Defensive lineman Terrance Knighton also did not practice on Wednesday because of a sore rib, and inside linebacker Martrell Spaight is working through the concussion protocol after sustaining one on Sunday.

Center Kory Lichtensteiger (finger), cornerback DeAngelo Hall (bruised ribs), right tackle Tom Compton (bruised left calf) and left tackle Trent Williams (unspecified ankle injury) were all limited.

Outside linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat, who was inactive on Sunday because of a bruised right thigh, was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. Compton was also inactive against the Dolphins.

It doesn’t seem likely Hall or Williams will miss any playing time on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

“We don’t know yet, we’ll have to wait and see,” Gruden said. “D-Hall was limited. He did some good things and Trent obviously practiced for the most part. We just held him out at the end.”

With Rogers’ status uncertain, the Redskins signed cornerback Will Blackmon on Tuesday. Blackmon, a nine-year veteran, most recently played with the Jacksonville Jaguars the last two seasons.

“We’re concerned about Justin, obviously, so we had to sign another [cornerback] and we’ll go from there,” Gruden said.

“We still have [David] Amerson, [Bashaud] Breeland is coming back [from a suspension] and D-Hall hopefully will be good to go. So, we have three corners right there, and obviously, Kyshoen [Jarrett] can play inside at nickel too, so he’s a valuable flex guy.”
